Local Digital Collections

FCLA's Digital Library Services group (DLS) provides a number of systems and services in support of university-based digital collections.

PALMM
PALMM (Publication of Archival, Library, and Museum Materials) is an umbrella program supporting the cooperative building of shared collections using common standards.

DigiTool
The DigiTool digital library system is available to libraries to use to build their own collections or to contribute to PALMM collections. DLS provides DigiTool training on request, and DigiTool support through the Help Desk.

Archives Florida
Archives Florida is a statewide shared database of EAD-encoded archival finding aids. Any Florida institution with archival holdings can participate.

Opening Archives
Opening Archives is the program that supports Archives Florida with tools and training. DLS supports Archon for creating EAD finding aids and DigiTool for displaying them.

ETDs
The Electronic Theses & Dissertations (ETD) program provides storage, Web access and security controls for ETDs.

Institutional Repositories
DLS supports two Institutional Repository applications, the DigiTool Deposit Module, and E-Prints.

Statistics
Usage Statistics and Reports for PALMM & other digital resources.

PURL Server
FCLA PURL (Persistent URL) server for the use of the SUS libraries.
