FDA File Preservation Strategies by Format
The Florida Digital Archives current long-term preservation strategies are known as FDA Preservation Support Levels and vary by file format.
Files with viruses will not be archived in the FDA. Please scan your files for viruses with up-to-date virus scanners before transmitting your files to the Florida Digital Archive.
Any file formats not listed in the Table of FDA-supported File Formats
will receive Basic Preservation Support in the Florida Digital Archive.
The table of Recommended Data Formats for Preservation Purposes is intended to help Florida university administrators develop guidelines for preparing and submitting files to the Florida Digital Archive. Consult your own institution for local guidelines for ETDs or official publications of your university.
