MANGO - Metasearch And Next Generation OPAC

Printer-friendly version

Each State University Library has its own MANGO catalog and there is also a Combined Catalog of the State University Libraries of Florida.

MANGO is the State University Libraries’ Online public catalog. The goal of MANGO is to provide new features that:

  • Make the discovery of local and remote library resources seamless, intuitive, and appropriate to the individual researcher’s context.
  • Save the researcher time by providing access to the most relevant sources that match their query.
  • Enhance the research process by providing serendipity in the online environment: suggesting relevant sources of information that the researcher might not have discovered based solely on their statement of the query.
  • Make the research process more collaborative by taking advantage of social networking tools and technologies.
  • Maintain and enhance a high standard of academic rigor by providing rich data that reveals the context and interconnectedness of the historical scholarly record.
  • Make the MANGO interface the first and only site researchers at the universities will need to go to fulfill their research needs.

SUL staff can report a problem with one of the Mango catalogs by sending a message to the Mango Team.
