What is UBorrow?
UBorrow is the user-centered service which will enable users to request materials from any participating library with a single request via the MANGO user discovery interface. Phase 1 of UBorrow focuses on implementing the service among the SULS for returnables (physical materials). Success of UBorrow Phase 1 should result in:
Plans for later phases include adding article requesting, and requests beyond the SULs.
FCLA staff had the opportunity to spend a few hours with Jane Hayes, the Interim Director of the new Florida Virtual Campus, during her visit on March 22, 2012. UBorrow was one of several services highlighted.
Because only about 10 minutes were alloted to each service, Jennifer Kuntz prepared a "snapshot" of UBorrow to summarize what it is, how it was developed, and its success. Click here to view.
